1st day: Arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport and Marrakech Medina Tour
Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, we’ll pick you up and start the city tour of Marrakech with a local guide. The tour includes visits to several notable monuments, such as the tranquil Les Jardin Majorelle, the impressive Koutoubia Minaret (resembling the La Giralda tower in Sevilla, Spain), and the Saadian Tombs, showcasing exquisite Moorish architecture. We’ll also take a walk through the bustling alleys of the Souk-Market and visit the famous square, Djama El Fna, followed by a delightful exploration of the beautiful Gardens of Majorelle.
2nd day: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
In the morning, we depart for the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass (altitude 2260 m). On the way, we’ll visit the renowned Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, featured in numerous movies like The Gladiator, The Mummy, Babel, and more. Continuing to Ouarzazate, known as “The African Hollywood,” we’ll explore the film studios and the Kasbah of Taourirte. Our journey continues through the Road of Thousand-Kasbahs, stopping at the picturesque Skoura Palmery to admire the stunning Kasbah Amredhyle. In the evening, we’ll stay overnight in a hotel.
3rd day: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Sahara Desert
After breakfast, we’ll head southwards to Todra Gorges, a magnificent trench of gigantic rock walls creating a breathtaking spectacle in the High Atlas Mountains. Lunch at the right spot is optional! Continuing our route, we’ll pass through Jorf palm Trees and Erfoud, known as the “Capital of Fossils and Dates” in Morocco. From here, we’ll embark on an adventurous Off-road experience to reach the impressive high sandy dunes of Merzouga. Riding camels through the vast sea of dunes, we’ll reach our luxury campsite in the desert. Dinner will be served under the starry sky, and you’ll spend the night in comfortable Berber camel-hair tents.
4th day: Sahara Desert – Nkob – Ouarzazate
Before sunrise, wake up to climb the sand dunes for fantastic photo opportunities. Afterward, return to the hotel for showers and breakfast. Our journey continues to Ouarzazate, passing through Alnif, Tazzarine, Nkob, and the enchanting Draa Valley. We’ll spend the night in a Riad in Ouarzazate.
5th day: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech Airport
After breakfast, we’ll head back to Marrakech, crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains, and then drop you off at Marrakech Airport.
