North Morocco Tour Itinerary:
1st Day: Casablanca
Arrival Upon arrival at Casablanca Airport, you will be met and assisted by your tour guide/driver. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Casablanca downtown.
2nd Day: Casablanca – Rabat – Assilah – Tangier
After breakfast, we begin our journey by visiting the largest Mosque in Africa, the Hassan 2 Mosque, which stands partly over the water. We then head northwards to Tangier, making a stop at the capital city of Morocco, Rabat. Here, we will have the opportunity to visit the impressive Hassan Tower and the modern Mausoleum of Mohammed 5. Continuing on, we pass through Larache, a coastal city where the Lukkous river meets the Atlantic Ocean, and then reach Assilah, a charming town surrounded by well-preserved 15th-century Portuguese ramparts and gates. Lunch is optional at this picturesque coastal city. Finally, our day concludes in Tangier, located at the western entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar. Check into your accommodation (B&B).
3rd Day: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen
After a delicious breakfast, we embark on a tour of Tangier’s main attractions, including the Tanger American Legation, Kasbah Museum, Cape Spartel, and The Hercules Cave. We then drive along the coastline, passing through the Mediterranean Sea and the border with the Spanish exclave of Ceuta. Our next stop is Tetouan, where we explore the city and its Medina before continuing our journey into the Rif Mountains towards the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen. Overnight in Chefchaouen (B&B).
4th Day: Chefchaouen
Today is dedicated to exploring the stunning Moroccan city of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains. Originally built as a fortress in the 15th century, the city’s architecture is characterized by blue-tinted buildings, Jewish-inspired elements, an octagonal mosque, and Spanish ruins. Take in the breathtaking scenery as the mountains tower over Chefchaouen, reminiscent of a pair of goat’s horns. Overnight in Chefchaouen (B&B).
5th Day: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Fes
After a scrumptious breakfast in Chefchaouen, we drive towards Volubilis, a partly-excavated Berber-Roman city in Morocco. Founded in the 3rd century B.C., Volubilis was an important outpost of the Roman Empire and boasts many fine buildings. Later, we continue our journey to Fes, often referred to as the country’s cultural capital. Check into your Riad in the Medina of Fes on a bed and breakfast basis.
6th Day: Fes Medina Tour
Following breakfast, your guide will lead you through the captivating labyrinth of narrow streets in Fes’ medina. Experience the unique atmosphere with hundreds of tiny shops, traditional dyer souks, and skilled craft manufacturers working in medieval grottoes. Witness the famous leather tanneries still using ancient techniques to produce fine leather in beautiful colors. Fes is also renowned for its exquisite pottery, brass and copper trays, and tea services, as well as its regional cuisine and ancient medersas (Islamic schools). Overnight in your Riad (B&B) at Palais D’hotes and Spa Fes.
7th Day: Fes – Meknes – Casablanca
After breakfast, we bid farewell to this enchanting city and make our way back to Casablanca. En route, we make a detour to visit Meknes, an imperial and impressive city that served as the capital of Morocco in the 16th century. Continuing our journey, we reach Casablanca, the country’s economic and business center. Check into your hotel (B&B).
8th Day: Casablanca
Departure Depending on your scheduled flight, we will transfer you back to Casablanca Airport, marking the end of our services
