Marrakech Grand Morocco Tour in 11 Days Itinerary:
1st Day: November 2019: Arrival at airport and drive to your Hotel in Marrakech
Pick you up from Marrakech Airport and drive to your Hotel/Riad in Marrakech.
2nd Day: November 2019: Marrakech – Marrakech Medina City Tour
A Full guided tour will be scheduled to discover Marrakesh, Tourist Number 1 destination in Morocco, known
as the “Red City”. Marrakesh is the most important former imperial city in Morocco’s history; it is situated near
the foothills of the high Atlas Mountain. Similarly to other old towns, Marrakech comprises both an old fortified
city The Medina and a very modern city called Gueliz built during the French occupation. Marrakesh has the
largest traditional market (souk) in Morocco and also has one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world,
Djemaa el Fna. The square is full of energy and vibes, where story-tellers, water sellers, dancers, snakes
charmers and musicians perform in open air. During the night the square turns into a huge chain restaurant.
During our guided city tour, we will see the Koutoubia Mosque, built in the 12th century in the reign of
Almoravid Dynasty. We will go among narrow streets and allies in the medina. We pass by “seven saints”
during the reign of Moulay Ismail; the festival of the seven saints was founded to the request of the Sultan. The
tombs of several renowned figures were moved to Marrakesh to attract pilgrims.
Have lunch somewhere in the Medina then hit the road towards Dades Valley passing by the high Atlas
Mountains and Ouarzazate. Arrive afternoon and check in your hotel.
3rd Day: November 2019: Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech
After breakfast we drive to the beautiful town of the Atlantic coast – Essaouira – which is previously known as
Mogador to the Portuguese inhabitants, it is a charming small town on the coast well- known for local
handicrafts, especially thuja wood furniture, carving and small artifacts, sold in innumerable shops along the
windy streets.
Orson Wells filmed “Othello” here, making especially the Portuguese ramparts famous in its opening scene.
Visit the women’s cooperative where Argan nuts are processed by hand into one of the most versatile oils;
delicious in salads and a treat for the skin.
At the sea front, the customer chooses a selection of freshly caught fish to have prepared on the spot. The
surfing opportunities and the beach make it an ideal spot for coastal lovers. Essaouira has a favorable micro-
climate; mild in winter and cool in summer.
Lunch will be in a truly favorite place to chill after a trip to the desert – on the beach, in the little cafés by the
port or wandering in and out of all the little shops, later afternoon drive back to your Hotel in Marrakech.
4th Day: November 2019: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
After we meet at the airport of Marrakesh, we head to Dades. Passing through Tizi-n-Tishka in the high Atlas
Mountains we will then visit the UNESCO World heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou which has also been the
backdrop for many films including Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Alexander. After lunch we’ll enjoy the
beautiful natural landscapes and historical monuments of Taourirt Kasbah in Ourzazate and the Valley of the
Roses, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. We’ll also pass through the Berber villages of El Kelaa des
M’Gouna and Boumalene du Dades where we will spend the night.
5th Day: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Sahara Desert
Leaving Boumalene Dades after breakfast, we will head to Merzouga passing through the Berber village of
Tinghir and the Todra Gorge where the canyons dominate the skyline. We will then pass through several towns
along the route, stopping for lunch at either Tinjdad, or Rissani in Tafilalet region, famous for serving the
Berber pizza. After lunch we will make our way to Merzouga to start 30 minutes camel trek journey to the
middle of the Sahara Desert, Stop somewhere in the dunes to enjoy a beautiful sunset then continue to your

30th of November 2019: Erg Chebbi – Sahara desert exploration – Erg Chebbi
A full day in the Sahara Desert is scheduled to explore the Desert features, First You’ll move to neighboring
Berber village of the Sahara, called Khamlia, to listen and watch the Gnaoua music performed by local bands.
Continue through to see the nomads of the desert under their tents. Then we will drive offroad to experience
the wonderful Sahara sceneries. In the evening you’ll be back to your Camp where you’ll have free afternoon to
chill out near the pool or ride Quads.
6th Day: Erg Chebbi Desert – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Fez
You’ll wake up early to attend the sunrise spectacle, then riding back the camels to your hotel. After having
shower and breakfast, we leave Erg Chebbi to the north passing by the Ziz Valley and the Mid Atlas Mountains
up to Fez. On our way, we will stop frequently to appreciate the Rocky Mountains and plain areas. We will
pause in Azrou to see the North Africa Monkeys on the wild inside a Cedar Forest. We arrive to Fez, and check
in your riad.
7th Day: Fez Medina Tour – Fez (Blue city)
After breakfast a cultural tour is waiting you through the intellectual capital of Fez which was considered Mecca
of the west and Athena of Africa. It is the biggest city of the country after Casablanca with a population of
approximately 1 million. This city is the former capital and one of the country’s four imperial cities. Fez
comprises three distinct parts, Fez el Bali which is the oldest part surrounded by a big wall, where are more
than 9000 narrow streets and allies. Fez-Jdid or the new Fes, home of the Mellah the Jewish quarter and the
Ville Nouvelle the newest section of Fez created during the French occupation. Fez el Bali is a UNESCO World
Heritage Site. Its medina is the largest in the world. Among its narrow streets and allies, the oldest university in
the world is located; The University of Al-Karaouine, founded in AD 859. This University is still operating
nowadays.
8th Day: Fez – Ouazzane – Chefchaouen
We will drive to the north of Morocco through the Rif Mountains, arriving at Chefchaouen, The blue pearl of
the north. The evening will be dedicated to exploring the simply but beautiful city of Chefchaouen where
everything is set dramatically against the mountains. Things to see among many are the blue-tinted houses and
cobbled streets with mountainous backdrop which create a photographic setting. Spend the night in a riad.
9th Day: Chefchaouen – Asilah – Rabat
After your breakfast in the riad, our journey will start towards Volubilis, then driving forth via Ouazzan and
other riff villages Volubilis embodies the roman ruins and presents a unique archaeological site of Moroccan
history, after the visit of the ruins we will shift our way to Meknes city, an imperial city in the 17th century,
where we will hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, bab el mansour. Then we continue to
Rabat, the capital of Morocco where you will spend the night.
10th Day: Rabat – Hassan 2 Mosque – Casablanca
After Breakfast visit the city’s major attractions: Hassan tower and Mausoleum of Mohammed V & his son
Hassan ll -former king and father of the current King. The 12th Century Kasbah Udayah: a departuring point for
armies leaving to conquest Spain, in the 18th century, a gathering of pirates who used to capture ships, later
drive towards Casablanca where you will visit Hassan 2nd Mosque where you join a 45 mins walking guided
tour, then drive to your Hotel.
11th Day: Casablanca – Casablanca Airport
Transfer to the Airport Casablanca.
